About Split PDF
Split PDF separates a single PDF into multiple smaller files. You can extract a specific page range, split every N pages, or burst the document into one PDF per page. The tool runs entirely client-side, so your file never leaves your browser.

Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Every tool on SnapToolz runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your file is read locally, processed in memory, and the result is offered as a download. Nothing is sent to a server — there isn't one to send to.
What's the difference between Split PDF and Extract PDF Pages?
Split produces multiple files (one per range, or one per page). Extract combines the specified pages into a single new PDF. Pick Extract when you want one document containing only the chosen pages.
Can I split into uneven groups?
Yes — use range mode with a comma-separated list like ‘1-5, 6-12, 13-20’. Each comma-separated entry becomes a separate output file.
Does it work offline?
Yes. SnapToolz is a Progressive Web App. After your first visit, the app is cached on your device and every tool keeps working without an internet connection.
Is SnapToolz free?
Yes — every tool is 100% free with no sign-up, no watermark, no hidden tier. The whole platform is open source and we have no plan to gate features.
