By using SnapToolz you agree to these terms. They're short and written in plain English.
Last updated: May 7, 2026
SnapToolz is a collection of free utilities — PDF, image, text, developer, security, and everyday tools — that run inside your web browser. Most tools process your files entirely on your own device using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Some are also available as installable mobile or desktop apps that wrap the same code.
Every feature is currently free. There is no signup, no account, no paid tier, no subscription. If that ever changes, we'll announce it on the site before charging anyone.
You can use SnapToolz for personal, educational, or commercial work. The short list of things you must not do:
You keep all rights to anything you process through SnapToolz. We don't claim ownership of your files, your output, or any data you put through the tools. Because the processing happens on your device, we never see your files in the first place — see the Privacy page for the technical details.
SnapToolz is provided as-is. The tools are written carefully and unit-tested, but software has bugs and edge cases. Don't use SnapToolz as the single source of truth for irreplaceable data — always keep originals. For legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical work, verify the output with a domain expert.
To the extent allowed by law, the maintainers of SnapToolz are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including data loss, corrupted output, or time spent. Your remedy if you don't agree with this is to stop using the service.
The SnapToolz brand, copy, design, logos, and screenshots are the property of the SnapToolz maintainers. The underlying open-source libraries (pdf-lib, pdf.js, tesseract.js, browser-image-compression, and others) carry their own licences which are honoured in the source tree. The site code itself may be released under an open-source licence — check the repository for details if and when it's public.
SnapToolz may link out to documentation, library projects, or app stores. We don't control those destinations and aren't responsible for their contents.
If we update these terms in a substantive way, we'll change the “Last updated” date at the top and announce the change on the site. Continuing to use SnapToolz after a change means you accept the new version.
