Terms of Use
By using SnapToolz you agree to these terms. They're short and written in plain English.

1. What SnapToolz is, and who operates it
SnapToolz is a collection of free utilities — PDF, image, text, developer, security, and everyday tools — that run inside your web browser. Most tools process your files entirely on your own device using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Some are also available as installable mobile or desktop apps that wrap the same code.
SnapToolz is operated by Jaggaro, an independent software studio based in Punjab, India, founded by Pritam Brar (Founder of Jaggaro). In these Terms, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Jaggaro; “you” and “your” refer to the person or organisation using the service. Business contact: hellojaggaro@gmail.com.
These Terms of Use form a binding agreement between you and Jaggaro. They apply every time you access the website, install one of the apps, or use any tool we provide. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use SnapToolz. If you are using the service on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use SnapToolz, and old enough to form a binding contract in your country of residence. SnapToolz is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly make the service available to them. If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian before using the service.
3. Free to use
Every feature is currently free. There is no signup, no account, no paid tier, and no subscription. We fund the site through the advertising described in section 8. If we ever introduce a paid feature, we will announce it clearly on the site before charging anyone, and the tools that are free today will not be moved behind a paywall without notice.
4. Acceptable use
You may use SnapToolz for personal, educational, or commercial work, subject to these Terms and to the law that applies to you. Because your files are processed on your own device, you are solely responsible for what you choose to run through the tools. You agree that you will not:
- Process or distribute material you do not own or have the legal right to handle, including copyrighted works you are not licensed to modify
- Use the tools to create, alter, or circulate content that is unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, harassing, or that infringes another person's rights
- Attempt to attack, overload, disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the service or the infrastructure that serves it
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the code in order to harm other users or defeat security measures — normal inspection of the client-side code your browser already downloads is fine
- Re-host, mirror, or rebrand SnapToolz under a different name in a way designed to deceive users or pass our work off as your own
- Use automated means to scrape the site at a volume that degrades the service for others
- Use SnapToolz for anything illegal in your jurisdiction, or to help anyone else do so
We may restrict or block access if we reasonably believe you are violating this section or putting other users at risk. Because there are no accounts, this is usually done at the network level.
5. Your files, your content, your responsibility
You keep all rights to anything you process through SnapToolz. We do not claim ownership of your files, your output, or any data you put through the tools, and we do not acquire a licence to it. Because the processing happens on your device, we never receive your files in the first place — see the Privacy page for the technical details of how that works.
You are responsible for keeping your own backups. Some tools open, rewrite, or destructively edit a file; a browser tab can crash, and a device can run out of memory mid-operation. Always work from a copy and keep the original of anything irreplaceable.
6. Intellectual property
The SnapToolz name, brand, copy, design, layout, logos, illustrations, and screenshots are the property of Jaggaro and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers those rights to you. You may not copy our brand assets or written content and present them as your own, or use the SnapToolz name in a way that suggests an endorsement or partnership that does not exist.
SnapToolz is built on open-source libraries — including pdf-lib, pdf.js, tesseract.js, browser-image-compression, and others — each of which carries its own licence. Those licences are honoured in the source tree and continue to govern the components they cover; nothing in these Terms overrides them. If and when the SnapToolz application code is published, its own licence will be stated in the repository.
7. Copyright complaints (DMCA)
We respect intellectual-property rights and expect our users to do the same. SnapToolz does not host user files — everything is processed on your own device — so in most cases there is no copy of your work on our servers for us to remove. If, however, you believe that content we publish on the site itself (such as a guide, screenshot, or graphic) infringes a copyright you hold, you can send us a notice.
To be actionable, your notice should include: a description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed; the URL or location of the material on SnapToolz; your contact details; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law; a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf; and your physical or electronic signature.
Send copyright notices to hellojaggaro@gmail.com with the subject line “Copyright notice”. We will review valid notices promptly and remove or disable access to infringing material we control.
8. Third-party services, ads & links
SnapToolz uses a small set of third-party services to run and to stay free — including Google AdSense for advertising, Google Analytics for aggregate usage counts, Google Fonts, model CDNs for the AI tools, and Cloudflare Pages for hosting. Each of these is provided by an independent company under its own terms and privacy policy, and your use of the service means those terms may also apply to you. The Privacy page lists them in full and explains what each one processes.
The advertisements shown on SnapToolz are served by Google and its partners; we do not control which specific ads appear, and their presence is not an endorsement by us of any advertised product. SnapToolz may also link out to documentation, library projects, or app stores. We do not control those destinations, cannot vouch for their content or practices, and are not responsible for them. Following an external link is at your own risk.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
SnapToolz is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We specifically disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any tool will produce a correct or complete result for your particular file.
The tools are written carefully and unit-tested, but all software has bugs and edge cases, and file formats are full of surprises. Do not rely on SnapToolz as the single source of truth for irreplaceable data — always keep originals. For legal, medical, financial, tax, or safety-critical work, treat the output as a draft and verify it with a qualified professional before relying on it.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jaggaro, its founder, and anyone acting on its behalf will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, corrupted output, lost profits, lost time, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to your use of — or inability to use — SnapToolz, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Because SnapToolz is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us to use it (which is zero) or USD 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you; in that case our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows. Your ultimate remedy, if you are dissatisfied with the service, is to stop using it.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jaggaro and its founder from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal costs that arise out of your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of the rights of any third party through your use of SnapToolz. This does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own wilful misconduct.
12. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Jaggaro is based in Punjab, India; any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of SnapToolz will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Punjab, India. Nothing in this clause limits any non-waivable consumer-protection right you may have under the mandatory laws of your own country of residence.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time — for example, to reflect a new feature, a new third-party service, or a change in the law. When we make a substantive change, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, announce it on the site. Continuing to use SnapToolz after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree with a change, your remedy is to stop using the service.
14. General
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remain in full force, and the unenforceable part will be applied to the maximum extent permitted by law. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, make up the entire agreement between you and Jaggaro regarding SnapToolz. You may not assign your rights under these Terms; we may assign ours to a successor of the business.
