Common questions about how SnapToolz works. For tool-specific questions, the FAQ section at the bottom of each tool page covers the details that apply only there.
Files stay on your device — processed locally with WebAssembly.
Static site. There's no server that handles user files.
Once cached, every tool works without internet.
No sign-up, no watermark, no premium tier.
No. Every tool on SnapToolz runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your file is read locally, processed in memory, and the result is offered as a download. Nothing is sent to a server — there isn't one to send to.
Yes. SnapToolz is a Progressive Web App. After your first visit, the app is cached on your device and every tool keeps working without an internet connection.
Yes — every tool is 100% free with no sign-up, no watermark, no hidden tier. The whole platform is open source and we have no plan to gate features.
Any modern browser with WebAssembly: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Brave, Opera. Mobile browsers work too — the UI is fully responsive.
Yes. Because nothing leaves your device, SnapToolz is the safest class of online tool for sensitive material. You can air-gap the tab, disable your network, and the tool keeps working.
SnapToolz is built and operated by Jaggaro — an independent software studio based in Punjab, India, founded and run by Pritam Brar (Founder of Jaggaro). Business contact: hellojaggaro@gmail.com. See the /about page for the full company information and editorial standards. Every tool ships as static HTML + WebAssembly running directly in your browser — there is no SnapToolz server processing any user file.
The runtime is built on open-source libraries (pdf-lib, pdf.js, Tesseract OCR, browser-image-compression, ffmpeg.wasm, the Hugging Face transformers.js stack). Plans to publish the application source are tracked on the /changelog page. The privacy property does not depend on source availability — you can prove the no-upload behaviour from your own browser's DevTools.
On the server side: nothing — there is no user database. In your browser: a small amount of localStorage and IndexedDB for your favorites, theme preference, recent tools, and the productivity-suite drafts (notes, tasks, habits, document, spreadsheet). All of it stays on your device. See /privacy for the full disclosure including the Google AdSense and Google Analytics cookies our advertising and measurement scripts set.
Advertising. Google AdSense serves the ads you see on tool and guide pages. Revenue from those ads keeps the platform free for everyone. See /privacy for what AdSense and its cookies collect, and /cookies for the cookie inventory with opt-out instructions.
Yes — see the /download page. The same code runs as a Progressive Web App (install from the browser's address bar), as a Capacitor-wrapped Android/iOS app, and as a Tauri desktop build for Windows / macOS / Linux. Native apps add file-system shortcuts and OS integration; the core processing is the same WebAssembly engine in all three cases.
