About Compress PDF
Compress PDF reduces the file size of a PDF without re-rendering or downsampling images. SnapToolz strips redundant metadata, packs object streams, and removes unused references — typically saving 10–40% with no visible quality loss. Large image-heavy PDFs benefit most.

Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Every tool on SnapToolz runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your file is read locally, processed in memory, and the result is offered as a download. Nothing is sent to a server — there isn't one to send to.
Will compression reduce the visual quality of my PDF?
No — SnapToolz never resamples or recompresses embedded images. It only strips redundant data structures and reorganises objects. The visible content is bit-identical.
Why didn't my PDF shrink much?
If the file is already heavily compressed (e.g. saved by Acrobat with object streams enabled), there's little left to remove. Image-heavy PDFs compressed by lower-quality tools see the biggest gains.
Does it work offline?
Yes. SnapToolz is a Progressive Web App. After your first visit, the app is cached on your device and every tool keeps working without an internet connection.
Is it safe to use with confidential documents?
Yes. Because nothing leaves your device, SnapToolz is the safest class of online tool for sensitive material. You can air-gap the tab, disable your network, and the tool keeps working.
