About Instagram Grid Splitter
Instagram's grid view rewards posts that visually align across multiple tiles. The Grid Splitter takes a single image and slices it into a grid of tiles you can post one-by-one. Choose 3×3 (the classic full-grid look), 3×2, 3×1 (a single horizontal row), 2×2, or 4×4. Optionally force a square canvas first so each tile lands at 1:1 — what Instagram defaults to for square posts. Output is bundled as a ZIP; upload tiles in reverse order so the grid renders top-to-bottom.

Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Every tool on SnapToolz runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your file is read locally, processed in memory, and the result is offered as a download. Nothing is sent to a server — there isn't one to send to.
Why upload in reverse?
Instagram shows newest posts first on the grid. To get a left-to-right, top-to-bottom layout, you upload the bottom-right tile first and work backwards. The ZIP tiles are numbered so you can sort and process in either direction.
What about Instagram quality compression?
Instagram re-encodes uploads to roughly 1080 px wide, 80% JPEG. To minimise the recompression, the tool exports each tile at 1080 px on its longest edge, JPEG 92 — close to what IG would re-encode anyway.
Does it work offline?
Yes. SnapToolz is a Progressive Web App. After your first visit, the app is cached on your device and every tool keeps working without an internet connection.
